Ok now I have completed 2 months here in France !
What is it like ??? Well I better not answer that question....coz m more so confused myself. France is beautiful but only if u know French...otherwise it makes one feel like Alice in Wonderland...!
People are not overtly friendly but yes friendly to an extent only if u can speak anything remotely similar to French ! if not then u r pretty much on your own....Strangely enough they don't know English...they don't make an effort to speak too!!!
Back in India there was such a big hue and cry over removing English as a medium from sooo many places but I really wonder how else would we survive ?? We as a nation need to scale the heights as we are still in the first rung of the ladder....
Speaking a language is a personal choice yes, but again if the person standing in front of me cannot understand what I am saying then the entire purpose of communication is lost....
Its pretty much the same here....If u wanna move in a circle with linguistic confines then it is ok but of you want to broaden your horizon then one needs to know English... Hmmm I wish the French people would just get this fact straight....
Nyway..the country is good....pretty much a relaxed pace of life...I guess it's the same everywhere in Europe...
So...I just got my residence permit yesterday and eagerly I switched to the bottom to check for that little line which would state something which is gonna change my entire purpose of coming to France....EUREKA...EUREKA....EUREKA.....THE PREFECTURE has allowed me to work here in France...Now I can go about setting things straight ...
Will blog next time when I am able to establish myself in the industry here...
