I miss Bombs

Well, on first thought I may sound like a terrorist, but cmon, I am just a little teenie weenie thought. This year my festival of lights was a kind of dampener on my spirit. It so happened that I was out of the country. On the eve of the French diwali I just realised how much I missed the Bombs... Back in India they come in various sizes and freaky names.I always took firecrackers for granted, until now, when they went missing from my spectrum. We did arrange some bombs, but the waterfall came when we were told that Bombs were prohibited in this country. Ouuch that hurt real bad.So would my French diwali be incomplete in all aspects of noise pollution ? Well, rules are made so that they can be broken, we decided and off went 2 bombs in quick succession. Ahhh....What a satisfaction, I thought to myself. This is Diwali. Only the loud sound made some of our curious neighbours start peeping out of their fortresses. Some were more suspicious than curious, until they saw the beautifully decked ladies of the occasion.Okie,so we were just enjoying. Sounds funny, but back in India one never gives a thought to all these things. It is all taken for granted. If it is Diwali I have to have a blast, and if it is Holi, one has to get the others wet, and a good booze on the side may be always pardoned coz "Bura na mano Holi hai" As I reminisced , I felt so nostalgic that I just wanted to pack my bags and head back home. But home is where the hearth is and I am here to stay.Blogging away ferociously.... Trying to curb the intense feelings of nostalgia which stems from a stray thought here and there. There are many of my generation who share the same craziness, but are more caught up in the time warp. Making Hay while the Sun Shines...and missing the bombs too
