"Aussitude" from Oz, for, "The Incredibles" from India

Last year I had blogged about Aussitude,and the unfavourable trend seems to be growing. This year however, it has reared its monstrous head in the shape of violence. That, the Australians are among the worst of the white chickens, it has become amply clear that they are no good when it comes to civility either.Have been hearing oft repeated stories like most of them live hand to mouth,are extremely arrogant, racist etc. For a moment however, we need to pause and retrospect. Are the Incredible Indians any different from the Wizards of Oz when it comes to hitting back at alien cultures and people? We are worse ! We never fight the external forces as we are busy tackling our so-perceived enemy within! We have always had pur facts wrong. History has proved time and again, that we the hypocrite Indians, have always put more importance to fight our immediate neighbour than the invader from elsewhere.We will go to any length to put down one of our own if that makes the invader any powerful and serves our vested interests. When we are such a divided lot, how can we expect somebody else to empathise with us. The British understood us better than anyone else. We were always Divided and thus we Always fell. Those whom the Brits could not break were defeated by their own brethren.The Aussies are the extended family of the Brits ! They are the labourers and the bottom rung of the powerful empire who were either deported or left behind to snatch the beautiful land from the native aborigines. Even today, they know that Indians can never stand united. Marathi Indians are busy fighting the Bihari Indian,the Tamilians do not even care to be known as Indians. With such a high level of patriotism, how do we expect the Aussies to fare any better in dealing with us. Sometime back during a careless conversation with some Indian students here in France, the same divided mentality presented itself. One of them promptly remarked, "I am not a Gujju,I am a Kutchi"...whatever that meant! The same attitude is on display everywhere we Indians set foot. We are always Marathi,Punjabi,Andhrite,Tamilian,Bengali first, and Indian only when there is no other option available. When Sharad Pawar said that it is time for a Marathi PM, he spoke on behalf of "We, the Incredible Indians". He never cared to emphasize that INDIA, needed a Competent PM irrespective of the caste, creed,color,religion or the so-called nativity ! What has happened Down Under is a shame.It needs to be condemned as a human being. However, before pointing our fingers at others, we need to put our own house in order.
