"The Spinster in Pink" can be at her eccentric best or worst as the situation demands.Now, she wants her name to be engraved on stone.In the form of statues? What is her worth apart from governance of the most shoddy kind which is suited to change as per the situation demands? One can not call her good or bad for any particular reason.She has very cleverly manipulated her governance as and when time demanded it to be good or bad. If she has spent time to think about her immortality, then she should also know that people engraved in statues in our country have evoked very little respect. Remember Gandhi's statue once found among the trash? What would serve her ulterior motives and purpose, is to spend the same amount of time and money on lifting the poor and downtrodden in the state she very fondly calls her own. This state, in all it entirety, needs development on education,health,infrastructure fronts.The statues which she wants to force on the electorate may not really serve her purpose of becoming a National entity. An Elephant is recognisable not just because it's big, but because of the royalty associated with its demeanour. She needs to remember that people who opened Hospitals, schools and sources of free water (pyaau) for the poor are more better known among the public than those who only stand Tall in Stone!
