Daughterfully Yours

Everyday as Maverick leaves home for office there is just a subtle hint of arrogance. I don’t know how I managed to carry on the day without ever feeling butterflies in my stomach. It must be something to do with my programming I wonder to myself everyday as I look at myself in the mirror.

But yesterday when I looked back at the causes of my personality trait I realized it does have some link with the genes, but then it is the conditioning which has done the wonders. It is the dynamics of a positive environment which does the trick of transforming a mouse into a roaring lion.

Maverick could never have been what she is today, had it not been the presence of a special woman in her life. We all can say that. It is a phenomenon, but we need to acknowledge it always. I choose to do it everyday when I fold my hands to pray.

“Thank you God for giving me my Mom. Thank you for choosing her as my Guardian Angel”

As one is growing up, over the years one tends to idolize each and sundry character in History. However I could never relate to one, or find someone to suit my temperament. My ideal in life was always someone who was more humane and someone who was always working in the background. Grinding her way through the day just to make it rosier for me and my siblings.

I chose to tread her mindset and philosophy on life albeit a little later. But better late than never!

She may not read what I write now, but it was her snooping activities on my Diary one day, which made me a better writer and forced me to think about life other than what I read in the Mills and Boons of my adolescence.

A Mother can make you Weak or make you Strong. Mine chose to transform me into Dynamite
