Welcome Home !

It has been so long since I blogged. I was travelling... On a recent trip to India, the airline hostess announced "We would like to welcome our International travellers to India, and To Fellow Indians...Welcome Home" I was filled with a sudden and unexplained lump in the throat.I felt extremely overwhelmed and could feel tears threatening to burst from my eyes. At the end of the ordeal, I was left wondering what is it about Home that can bring tears to one's eyes.I am living away from my friends and family, but I am still with my spouse and children. I utilise all the available communication tools to be in touch with family back there in India. I am communicating with them more than what I would normally have done in India. What was it then that choked me? For one I could be an old fogey turning emotional or is there another hidden meaning to Welcome Home?
